Summer Heat, Tiny Islands, and Geography Lessons – Just Another Day at Call2Print

As the heat rises, so do our quotes — with tiny new clients popping up from the most unexpected corners of the world

As the weather heats up, so does our inbox — seriously, the number of quote requests we’ve been getting lately is off the charts. But what’s really caught us by surprise this year? A surge of new clients — not the usual big-name corporations, but small businesses from some truly tiny corners of the globe. And when we say tiny, we mean “you-need-a-magnifying-glass-on-Google-Maps” tiny. Yep, we’re talking about remote islands and towns we had to double-check actually exist.

Here’s the tricky part: getting shipping quotes for these places is an absolute logistical nightmare. Most commercial flights don’t even go there, and don’t even get us started on container shipping — it’s like trying to play hopscotch across five different ports before finally landing somewhere near the destination.

So yeah, quoting isn’t as easy as click-and-send anymore. We’re emailing freight companies, refreshing tracking tools, and occasionally whispering to the shipping gods for help. And while our cost estimations are going through an identity crisis, there is a silver lining: our office girls now know more world geography than your average pub quiz champion. No joke — someone casually dropped “Tuvalu” in conversation last week and nailed its location. Absolute legends.

But jokes aside — here’s the real talk.

We know it’s challenging. We know most print companies would never bother chasing down freight rates for a few boxes of notebooks or children books going to a single-person company on an island nobody’s heard of. But we do. And we’ll keep doing it.

Because to us, it’s not just business. Even the smallest orders deserve respect. Even if it’s just one person behind that company, we’ll do our best to figure out shipping — even if it takes five emails, a carrier pigeon, and a hand-drawn map.

We don’t make money off shipping. That’s not the point.

What we do make? Relationships. Partnerships. Friendships. That’s why we don’t call these amazing people “clients” — they’re friends. Because we know that one day, we’ll work together on something bigger than just print. That’s how we’ve built Call2Print over the years — like a true family business. By growing connections, not just sales.

So to all our new friends out there — keep the quotes coming. Weird shipping zones and all. We got you. 🌍📦✌️
